Come To The Clifton Commons Barnes And Noble For The Holidays

Spread the love

I figured I’d get in a little personal plug as well as support my local Barnes and Noble store, in Clifton Commons, Clifton NJ.

As you will see by the listing here: https://stores.barnesandnoble.com/store/2932 (look down to 12/13), there is a great big old Christmas-themed story time happening at 11am that day with, yes, yours truly and my partner in the Echo City Capers kids’ books series, series creator and the books’ illustrator, Joe Swarctz. Joe and I will be featuring our book “An Echo City Caper’s Jr. Christmas Special.”

As I have occasionally written here, Joe and I have taken the Echo City Capers brand far and wide, most notably for monthly meet-and-greets we do at two B&N stores in PA. But coming to this specific Barnes marks the first time we are appearing at our hometown Clifton store (Joe is a Clifton boy like me, we actually met way back before electricity was invented, at Clifton High School). To say we are thrilled to be presenting/meeting folks/reading/signing/just sharing some time with folks at the Clifton store, on our home turf (and at a Barnes and Noble store I frequent all the time) would be a grand understatement.

But look around a bit at this holiday-time listing (again, see here: Barnes & Noble Bookstore in Clifton Commons, NJ | Barnes & Noble) there’s lots of great stuff coming, even virtual author events. Surely, you’ll find something to tickle your reading fancy. A couple of weeks before Joe and I get there, the store is hosting an in-store with someone Joe and I have met a few times, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, reading and signing his own Christmas book, Darrly’s Christmas In Hollis. We last saw Darryl at a comic convention held at Phillipsburg High School, in Phillipsburg N.J. and a nicer guy you will not ever meet (although, Joe and I are pretty nice too).

Joe and I surely hope this won’t be the only time we will be invited to story time at the Clifton Commons, Barnes & Noble. But it does mark our first time, and I wanted to tell you about it. Look here at the FU blog for updates on what’s happening for the holiday season at other Barnes and Nobles stores. They really are having some wonderful events, and I am thrilled to keep you in tune with them.

See you on 12/13!
