Garden State Comic Fest Summer 2025

Here it comes, you better be ready. Garden State Comic Fest Summer 2025 will be here, the weekend of June 28^th/29^th. This huge convergence of fan, cosplayer, comic creators, guests and surely a whole bunch ‘o vendors, happens at Cody Arena, in West Orange this year. You don’t want to miss this one! I have been to quite a few Comic Cons (yes, even those big ones hosted by famous cities) But I love NJ-based comic cons, have also attended a few of these, and wanted to go out of my way to champion the Garden State Comic Fest. It’s going to be a chock-full summer-time weekend for sure. We might be just ajacent  to New York City, but we can host these kind of gatherings just as well as anybody else. Even better, I’d say. Guests scheduled for the con include: Steve Whitmire, Maitland Ward, Sean Kanan and Michelle Santiago, to name but a few. Cosplay guests include The New York City Ghostbusters, the largest 501(c)(3) Ghostbusters charity group in the Northeast, Ireland native Kale Cosplays and award-winning cosplayer Alexandra Bowman. The creators who will be on read like a who’s who of the comic/fantasy world and include Mark Bagley, Louise Simonson, Jim Starlin, Don McGregor, Ron Garney and Jaime Jameson…again, to name but a few. I suggest you get your lace and latex sowed and ready. Run through your ‘got-um/need um’ boxes of books and make your final, must-have model and toy list. Bone up on exactly who you want to meet and have that autograph book (or at least a cell phone) ready.  Hell, who wouldn’t want to meet someone like beauty, actress Maitland Ward, who says: “Whether it’s Boy Meets World, my cosplay ideas or my film work now, I love hearing what connects people to my journey, and getting to share those stories face-to-face is the best part.
