A Barnes and Noble Residency

Spread the love

If you live long enough you might just get to see lots of things pass you during your time on God’s green Earth.

I have and am.

My partner Joe Swarctz, illustrator and the creator of our children’s world and characters of our Echo City Capers, and me, the books’ lowly scribe, have landed a ‘residency,’ just like Aerosmith, Lady Gaga and U2, starting 3/16. No, not in Las Vegas, at the Barnes and Noble store in Easton, PA (not very far from New Jersey), @ Southmont Center 4445 Southmont Way Easton, PA 18045 (610) 515-0376. Joe and I are returning to this Barnes, where we happened to enjoy two visits Christmas time last year, to premier our new middle-grade fiction paperback, Who Turned Out The Lights?: An Echo City Capers Adventure, We will also be offering a few story times across the day.

See the B&N event page here: https://stores.barnesandnoble.com/event/9780062164789-0.

Here is a picture of two of our books on their shelves in the kid’s section, our “Bunnies, Cookies and a Robot,” and our Christmas Special (facing vertically)

Joe and I take great pride in presenting ourselves at live events, be they at local elementary schools, for the Crayola Experience (also in Easton PA) for Girl Scout troops and also libraries, in a multitude of ways. We talk about collaboration and how we came to create the books (Joe and I met way back in Clifton High School, how’s that for a local NJ story?!), Joe leads draw-a-longs with kids and parents and we play and sing songs (Joe is a professional drummer, as you know I play guitar, sing and write songs) I wrote based on the books.

With the songs we always get the kids and parents up jumping and singing along to all the silliness.

So, as the months progress and we lay down the E.C.C. vibe at this wonderful B&N, who knows exactly what we are going to surprise store shoppers with. But Joe and I promise, whatever it is, it will be fun.

Thank you to R at the Barnes and Noble in Easton. He continues to champion us, and it was through his attention and welcome that we were able to make this happen.

See you at Barnes and Nobles everybody!
