As I have said plenty of times, it’s best not to explore these lists too deeply. Although this one comes from our venerable NJ 101.5 and Kylie Moore, plucking her point from a NapLab survey titled: Which Part of the Body Turns Each State on the Most? (see here: https://naplab.com/guides/which-part-of-the-body-turns-each-state-on-the-most/) And while the above post revealed nationwide stats from hetero women and men, what Moore wrote about were what Jersey guys and girls are most attracted to.
For Jersey girls, it seems it’s “all hands on deck,” as they are more attracted to a man’s hand; Jersey hetero guys…breasts.
Again, these surveys are influenced by who conducts the test, when, where, who the population is who are being tested; really, so many factors that can surely be manipulated. However, I am sure you have read scientific studies on objective attractiveness, where factors such as facial symmetry and waist-to-hip ratios are considered universally desirable, traits cuing our more biological needs and species propagation instincts.
Yes, biology runs deep. However, there are a veritable plethora (and really, only the very best plethora are the veritable ones) of other factors to weigh in on our subjective desires. And it seems, as this survey shows, that there are surely state to state factors that play into this as well.
For instance, legs made the top of the list for both genders in Texas and Utah. Facial features ruled in California and New York. In Hawaii, hetero ladies liked washboard abs on their men (beach climes, lots of people going shirtless…makes sense).
So why our NJ choices of hands and breasts, respectively? While they do go together rather nicely (sorry, I couldn’t resist) who knows why we chose what we do here in our great Garden State?
Interestingly enough, neck and jawline didn’t make the list for any people in any state.
